I grew up in a sex positive Jewish/Latin home. I was lucky to have parents that talked to me about healthy sex all the time. No shame, no taboo, I know that was unique. Ten years ago I founded Let's Talk Birds & Bees, a grass roots organisation aimed at helping parents talk to their children about sex, growing up & nurturing self-esteem. At the same time, I began working at a charity called The RAP Foundation promoting Consent-Led, Rights-Based Sexual Health in London schools. As a UK qualified teacher with an MA in Education, my work is with parents, teachers & students from diverse backgrounds gives me real insight into the many challenges & opportunities for better Relationship, Sex & Health Education in schools. I'm really interested in student voice as a creative & engaging learning tool to improve how we educate & empower young people to thrive.
